Home Construction Volunteer Opportunities

Join us Saturday, October 3rd, 8am-4pm, for a Day of Building Volunteer Event
In Myrtle Creek, take Old Hwy 99 to Klimback, turn East to Gallahad Loop to new subdivision.

Come out and meet the new homeowners and help build their homes. Lunch and refreshments will be served. Salads and side dishes are welcome. If possible, please bring your own hand tools.

Volunteers must be age 18 to work with power tools or roof level tasks. Ages 16 and 17 are limited to hand tools and ground floor tasks. Children under 16 must be fully supervised by a parent or guardian and can help with event setup, food serving, and cleanup.

Umpqua CDC offers the following opportunities for volunteers interested in helping with home construction projects:

  • Experienced, self-insured, construction contractors to help supervise our Self-Help Housing and community building projects.

  • General laborers to help with various construction tasks.

  • Individuals and groups willing to help in 4 hour increments.

Volunteers are asked to provide their own hand tools.
