Technical Assistance

Umpqua CDC offers technical assistance to help with predevelopment or assessment, leadership development, or other assistance needed to develop a project or write a grant. We assist communities, nonprofit groups, agencies, and municipalities in everything from feasibility studies and implementation of strategic plans to financial management and Web site development and administration.

Samples of recent work include:

  • Myrtle Point: Development of the Ohlsen/Baxter Community Center that houses the OSU Extension Services Administration offices.

  • Roseburg Waterfront Improvement: Work with the City of Roseburg to develop a master plan for improving the waterfront area, making it more accessible, and encouraging more tourism.

  • Sunrise Enterprises Assistance to procure engineering and funding for Sunrise to develop their new site in Green.  We provided and moved a 3,000 square foot office building for Sunrise’s administrative functions and secured funding to develop and engineering master plan for the full redevelopment.  Sunrise has a sheltered workshop that employs developmentally disabled residents.

  • UCAN:  Umpqua CDC is providing CDBG grant management for UCAN’s new administration and food bank warehouse

  • UCAN:  Umpqua CDC is providing consulting services and project development assistance for UCAN to acquire and preserve affordable senior and disabled housing in Roseburg

  • Sutherlin Senior Center:  Umpqua CDC is assisting the Sutherlin Seniors in their effort to expand and improve their facility to better serve the seniors in north Douglas County.
