Strength In Numbers: Two-part workshop teaching how to grow our local economy with local independent business

Monday, October 13th, 6-9pm, UCC's Indian room, $5

Part I: Growing Our Own

You'll learn of dozens of successful campaigns and tools communities can use to support local entrepreneurs and the groundbreaking work of Independent Business Alliances (IBAs) ― an innovative model used by growing numbers of communities to support hometown business. Discover how a 'buy local' campaign and IBA can help local business and strengthen our community.

Tuesday, October 14th, 9am - 2pm, UCC's Indian Room, $30 (lunch included)

Part II: Getting Down to "Local" Business

In-depth workshops that teach the tools of how to effectively organize and run an Independent Business Alliance and 'buy local' campaign. Participants will learn the nuts and bolts of messaging, branding, working with the media and government, and other 'best practices' from other IBAs across the nation.

 

Scholarships available for all who income qualify.
