Jan Iachini - UTEST

Jan Iachini has been considered a MEDAL success story for some time because of her work with Umpqua CDC a couple years ago. At that time Jan received assistance with determining the feasibility of her business and help in writing the plan for her company UTEST. Jan’s company offers standardized tests to evaluate cognitive abilities and intellectual abilities in children and adults. Even as that business moved forward, Jan still had entrepreneurial aspirations.

With the assistance or CORE Funds, Umpqua CDC’s MEDAL Program was able to offer a 6 week business feasibility course in partnership with Lane–Micro Biz of Eugene. Jan attended and has since developed and patented a fitness device specially designed for individuals with limited mobility.
